How to carry out a pre-operation inspection.
The need to plan the work.
Identifying site and workplace hazards.
Crane and hoist operating procedures.
Assessing loads.
which hooks, slings and chains to use
The safety principles in relation to crane safety and slinging.
The correct operating signals.
The correct shut-down procedures.
How to report a fault and what to do if it is unsafe to proceed.

Riggers and operators who will be appointed to sling and signal to overhead cranes in the workplace to meet Oil and Gas industry requirements in addition to other sectors.

- Theoretical 3 Hours
- Practical 9 Hours

The trainee will get a certificate approved by PTQI (Petroleum Training & Qualifying Institute) and Canadian Institute (NAIT).
