Training and Developing Centre(TDC)

The Training and Developing Centre was opened in 1987. It is a very successful centre with a good reputation all our country. With an in-depth awareness of the need to develop the competence of employees working in the Oil Sector, the Training and Development Centre, PTQI was established to facilitate continuous improvement of performance through designing and running various courses. While courses at this centre are tailored to meet the very specific needs of candidates, the centre provides generic courses which include:

English for Specific Purpose (ESP).
Training courses in different technical fields .
Theoretical and practical training.

English for Specific Purpose (ESP)

English is taught to adult students from beginners level. Since 1993, students have had the opportunity to take PET and FCE Cambridge examinations. The centre holds morning and evening classes with a very manageable 17 students per class. Students come from a variety of backgrounds and professions.

NAIT Certification

In order to provide our clients and students with the best services and to keep them updated with the new welding technology in the world, PTQI (Petroleum Training & Qualifying Institute) administration has taken a vital decision to improve the welding department to fit the international standard. In 2008PTQI (Petroleum Training & Qualifying Institute) and NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) have signed a contract of cooperation in different fields such as Welding, Instrumentation and Electrical to enable those departments to be certified by NAIT and issue certifications approved by PTQI and NAIT not just in welding but even in rigging and hoisting also.

Calculation of Pressure Loss During Liquid Flow Through Pipes

For Graduated Engineers and Technicians in relation with liquid movement.
