Calculation of Pressure Loss During Liquid Flow Through Pipes

Course Objective

Study of pressure loss inside pipes resulting from friction of fluids with pipe walls, types of fittings and valves in addition to sudden change of pipe diameters.

  • Course contents:

    * Study of static and dynamic physical properties of liquids.

    * Practical experiments for calculating the pressure loss due to change of pipe diameters.

    * Practical experiments for calculating the pressure loss resulting from the different types of pipes and find out the best.

    * Practical experiments for calculating the pressure loss resulting from the different methods of connecting pipes and identifying the best methods for surmounting this problem.

    * Study of valves in terms of pressure loss and their efficiency in controlling liquid flow.
