Theoretical aspect:
• vapor compression systems and components.
• analyze and evaluate thermodynamic processes of simple refrigeration systems.
• Mechanical cycle.
• Electrical cycle (primary coil type devices - transformers and motors. Electrical circuit protection devices).
Practical aspect:
• Review of safety.
• Fridge, freezer and water cooler components.
• Compressor ( installation, testing … etc).
• Electrical parts ( concept, testing, troubleshooting … etc).
• Refrigerators types.
• Piping Practices (an overview of piping materials and accessories as well as installation practices).
• System charging and vacuum.
• Leak detectors and recovery unit.
• Refrigeration Project (assemble a refrigeration system inclusive of all required piping & accessories).
Theoretical aspect:
• One phase systems (parts and concept).
• Three phase systems (parts and concept).
• Mechanical and electrical cycle operations
• Refrigeration controls (understanding of metering devices).
• Blueprint Reading (mechanical system representation, symbols, scales and fundamental drafting technique).
Practical aspect:
• Review of safety.
• System installation (one and three phase).
• Gas handling procedures.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Assemble and disassemble of commercial compressors.
• Charging and discharging the system ( using recovery unit).
• Leak detectors and recovery unit.
• Refrigeration Project (assemble a complete system inclusive of all required piping & accessories.).

• Psychrometric chart (principals and concept).
• Heat loads ( principals, concept and calculation).
• Mechanical cycle (window and split units).
• Electrical circuit (window and split units).
• Heat pump ( reverse cycle).
Practical aspect:
• Review of safety.
• Mechanical cycle (installation, testing … etc).
• Electrical circuit (connecting, testing … etc) .
• Heat pump (installation, troubleshooting).
• Charging and discharging the system (using recovery unit).
• Leak detectors and recovery unit .
• Refrigeration Project (installing a complete A/C system.
• inclusive of all required piping, accessories, vacuum … etc.).
• Lab experiments using computer linked A/C system.
